Winter in Alaska

Years before I ever moved to Alaska, I saw this segment on Dateline or the likes. It was about how there were tons more men than women here. I joked and told all my friends that I was moving to Alaska. Funny how things work out.

Looking for love? Don’t give up. Love is were you least expect it. It may not look, sound, or be anywhere familiar. But don’t overlook love because it is different than the usual.

  1. I never understood why -20 for weeks on end in Alaska always felt better than +40 in the lower forty-eight. Now that I was forced to leave my cabin in the woods I know because that loss of living where the handiwork of God surrounds you also envelopes you like a warm blanket just when you need it.
